Smart Loyalty goes big on charity

Updated: Apr 30, 2020

Regularly supporting several large national charities, Smart Loyalty and its programme members put their money where their mouth is in facilitating and contributing to donations. In 2019, both staff and corporate giving – as well as member donations – supported organisations helping mental health programs, the elderly, cancer research, and the victims of the Christchurch Mosque shooting.

Active now for several years, the Smart Loyalty Rewards Shop provides functionality for programme members to donate their points as dollars – something which saw an uptick in activity throughout 2019.

Last year, Smart Loyalty contributed over $17,500 to charities such as:

· Christchurch Victim Support

· Cancer Society

· Ronald McDonald House

· Mental Health Foundation

· Special Children’s Christmas Party

· Hospice Waikato

In early 2020, Smart Loyalty also announced its support for the Pindrop Foundation, which works to increase awareness of disabling hearing loss, as well as cochlear implant technology through patient advocacy, education, and research. Programme members and partners can donate their points to this worthy cause as of March 2020.
